             “I kind of believe that one day,
                  things will be better. I have to believe it. They
                  have to be better.   Because right now, things
                  are bad. Really bad. But there’s a silver lining
                  to every cloud–so they say. I think they just
                  say that to give people hope.

                  People need hope nowadays. Where else are
                  they going to get it? I mean, people don’t just
                  give hope away. They save it for themselves
                  like people would do with food; put their name
                  on it with a post-it note, and hide it in the back
                  of the pantry: ‘John Doe’s Cookies’–'John Doe’s
                  Hope.’

                  As if hope was a tangible thing to give away.
                  As if a post-it note could stop people from
                  eating your cookies.”
